AFC Wimbledon came from behind to beat Oxford United 2-1 in this fixture last season, but they were beaten 2-0 in the reverse fixture and a visit to Oxford in the quarter-finals of the EFL Trophy resulted in a 3-1 win for the U’s.
AFC Wimbledon won their opening League One fixture 2-1 away at Doncaster, but have been winless in their following four league fixtures with three ending in stalemates. Jack Rudoni’s last-gasp equaliser secured them a point in a 2-2 draw at Ipswich last weekend.
Oxford United have won three of their five league matches this season. James Henry’s hat-trick steered them to a 3-1 victory hosting Lincoln last Saturday.
